The X-Series secondary cutter is designed to transform the cheese columns coming from the primary cutter into long thin bars of precise dimensions. It ensures reliable, uniform cutting that is perfectly suited to the requirements of high-throughput production lines.
The equipment receives the cheese columns via a dedicated conveyor that manages feeding, positioning and product progression before cutting. The X-Series then divides the columns into bars whose thickness is programmable, which allows the product to be quickly adjusted to the required formats.
Although this may vary from one manufacturer to another, in general, cutting dimensions are based on a common denominator of 22 or 28 inches, allowing for standardized widths. For example, for a column with a height of 28 inches, the bar heights will be 4 inches, 3.5 inches, 2.8 inches, or 1.4 inches. This system simplifies format changes while ensuring optimal consistency in the resulting bars.
The change in bar height is fully automatic, which reduces manual interventions and improves the speed of transitions between different products. This automation directly contributes to operational stability, reduction of downtime and overall line efficiency.
