The P-Series primary cutter is designed to efficiently and consistently cut 640-pound blocks of cheese into columns of uniform width. It integrates into an automated line using a robust accumulation conveyor capable of receiving and conveying the blocks one by one to the cutting unit. This conveyor, designed for intensive use, is fully washable in place without dismantling, which reduces downtime related to maintenance.
The feed conveyor is equipped with very resistant lateral guides that ensure proper centering of the 640 lb blocks, guaranteeing optimal and stable feeding toward the primary cutter. This alignment precision contributes to the quality of the cuts performed downstream.
The P-640 primary cutter uses a set of rigid wires to divide the blocks into columns. These wires are mounted on a specially designed support (patent pending), designed to offer both durability and precision. The equipment allows the production of different column widths, including 5.5 inches, 7 inches, 7.33 inches, 9.33 inches, 11 inches, and 14 inches. The format change can be carried out in less than two minutes, which significantly improves the flexibility of the production line.
The combination of the robust conveyor and the primary cutter contributes to smooth handling, consistent positioning and reliable cutting quality, while maintaining hygiene adapted to the requirements of the cheese industry.
